Boarding Information & Requirements

Food Preparation

Due to the numerous dietary restrictions Paws & Claws does not provide food during your pets’ stay. Food brought from home must be prebagged in ziplock bags or an airtight container. Please bring one or two extra meals in case you are delayed on your return. If you would like to provide your own treats, please make sure they are also in a zip lock bag or airtight container. Canned food can be brought in as is. All belongings including food, must fit into our storage crates for the time being of your pets stay. Our yellow Paws and Claws tote bags are the perfect size reference!

Potty Breaks & Enrichment

All dogs receive supervised off-leash play time outside in our secure potty areas at a minimum of 4 to 5 times a day beginning at 7:00 am and last potty time around 7:30 pm. While in their suites we visit the dogs frequently throughout the day for belly rubs and treats..  We offer Enrichment and add-on activities to our lodging clients.  You can learn more by visiting our Doggie Daycare page.

Medications

Oral medications in liquid, tablet or capsule form can be administered for $1 per dose. Any injectable medications can be administered for $3 per dose. All medications must be in the original packaging or bottle with the pet’s name clearly printed. If the medication amount and/or times are different than on the bottle, a vet's note is required for the adjustment. If your pet requires an over the counter medication, a vet's note is required stating the reason for the OTC medication. Lastly, if there are any special tricks to giving your pet medication, please let us know during check in so that we can properly give your pet his or her meds.

Vaccines

We do require your pets to be vaccinated before they can stay at the Pet Village. For dogs staying with us we require: Bordetella, Distemper, Parvo and Rabies. For cats staying with us we require: Feline Distemper and Rabies. These vaccines are meant to keep your pet/pets and everyone else's pet/pets safe while staying at Paws and Claws Pet Village.

Vaccines will need to be emailed to:
 reservations@pcm.pet
***
Or you may use our Submit Vaccinations form  located under "Reservations" on our website.
***Need to receive within 48 hours of stay***

Please bring a copy of your pets’ vaccines from the vet with you if unable to email.

Bedding

At the Pet Village we do provide every dog with a raised cot. Our cots can be lowered if need be. You are welcome to bring bedding from home to make your pet’s stay more comfortable however Paws & Claws of Morganton is not responsible for destroyed beds, blankets, toys, etc. Bedding is the only item that does not need to fit in our facilities crates. However, if you bring more than one blanket, bed and/or other items used for bedding they will need to fit inside our facilities crates, please reference our yellow tote bags.

Check In/Out Times

Check out time is 11 am, any check outs after 11 am will be charged for another day, just like people hotels! Dogs staying in Doggie Daycare on check-out day will not be charged for another day regardless of the checkout time if they are picked up by 6 pm. Dogs receiving “The Works” grooming service on check-out day will not be charged for another day regardless of the check-out time as long as they are picked up by 5 pm.

Charges are daily including the day you check in and the day you check out unless your pets are picked up before 11 am Monday through Saturday. You will be charged for Sunday regardless of pick-up time. We suggest that your pet checkin no later than 4:00 pm so that we can make sure your pet acclimates without any issues, especially if this is their first time boarding.

If your pet is being picked up by someone else, we will need their information as well as yours. Please inform them that we will require an ID from them at pick-up time. If your return is delayed and you choose to have someone else pick up your pet, please call and inform us ahead of time. In this instance we will still require an ID. We will not give your dog to said individual without proper ID and an ok from you (the pet’s owner).

Monday-Saturday check-in and check-out times are 8 am – 6 pm.

Sunday check-in and check-out times are from 4 pm – 6 pm only.

Lobby is closed daily 12-1 pm

Cancellation Policy

A $50.00 deposit is due at the time the reservation is made and will be applied to the cost of the boarding stay.  If you cancel your reservation at least five days before your scheduled arrival date, your deposit will be left as a credit on your account for future services.  Deposits will be forfeited if cancellations are made less than five days prior to the scheduled arrival date.

Early Pickup Policy

Please make sure to reserve the proper number of days when making your reservation because you will be responsible for the number of days that you reserved, even if you come back early because of snow, hurricane, or zombie apocalypse. Boarders who are picked up more than 24 hours before the end of their reservation, will be charged for the entire reservation. For example, if you have reserved a kennel from Jan. 1 – 10 and you pick up on Jan. 8 you will still be charged through Jan. 10.

Additional Cleaning Fee Policy

We understand that sometimes pets have accidents or medical issues however we do appreciate your pets being potty trained or pad trained when staying with us since we clean our suites by hand. If they continually have accidents or make messes, we reserve the right to charge an Additional Cleaning Fee of up to $20 per dog per day

Flea Policy

We do charge extra to board fleas. The boarding charge for fleas is the cost of a flea bath for each pet in the room based on weight (of your pets, not the fleas) and the Additional Cleaning Fee Policy will also apply. After the first treatment if we continue to see fleas then you will be charged again for a flea bath for each pet in the room until the little critters are properly evicted.
